Uutiqtut (1982, rev. 2014). Uutiqtut is an Inuit word denoting ‘movement,’ as in the large migrations of the caribou herds. This work is also scored for two pianos under the alternate title: Caccia (the hunt). This is one of several commissions received for works related to the nature, peoples, and musical traditions of the Arctic region (catalogue).
